  • Reading this gives me little hope for America. If you made money on the house would you donate it back to the lender? It's not the lenders fault that the property fell in value. If you truly can't make your payments then the circumstances warrant it, but not because your house fell in value.

  • As an active Realtor in Texas I contend that the author doesn't have an idea what he's talking about when he states that this crisis is truly national rather than regional. Nevada, Florida, Michigan, California and Georgia are where close to 60% of all foreclosures are.
